Indianapolis, IN – Advanced Physical Therapy, a regional leader in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation for over 25 years, now has a new name. Effective June 4, 2012, Advanced became ATI Physical Therapy.

Known for exceptional results and an upbeat atmosphere, ATI Physical Therapy is a nationally-recognized private practice specializing in physical therapy, work conditioning, sports medicine, aquatic therapy, hand therapy and women’s health. Founded in 1996, ATI now has over 160 clinics in six states: Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Maryland.

Advanced and its 175 employees joined the ATI family in July of 2011. The same friendly staff and outstanding clinicians will continue to serve patients at all locations. Patients can expect the same high level of service, and family-like atmosphere that is a hallmark of ATI.

“We have great respect for the Advanced Physical Therapy name and the successful reputation the outstanding staff has developed over the past quarter of a century. We are excited about our future as we rally all of our clinics and services under the ATI name. As a unified company, we are stronger,” said Dylan Bates, Chief Operating Officer, ATI Physical Therapy.

Over the past ten months, Advanced has been undergoing a complete integration to ATI’s research based clinic programs, I-T systems, resources, and quality assurance protocols. In addition, ATI is bringing its robust sports medicine outreach program and transportation services for those with medical need to Central Indiana.

ATI has adopted and expanded the Advanced Worksite Solutions program, now known as ATI Worksite Solutions (AWS). This program, which is well established in Indianapolis, provides corporate wellness and on-site ergonomic and injury triage assessments to businesses of any scale. Sheila Denman, Senior Vice President of AWS, is spearheading this innovative division across six states.

The Advanced name transition is the final piece in ATI’s plan to bring all of its divisions and clinics under one unified name. ATI’s 40+ clinics on

the East Coast, which previously operated under the PRO Physical Therapy name transitioned to ATI in April. Additionally, ATI’s Women Serving Women division will now be called ATI Women’s Health.

“We are the only multi-state physical therapy group to rally all of our divisions under one name. By combining the stellar reputations of our East Coast, Indianapolis and Midwest clinics under the ATI Physical Therapy name, we are creating the best brand name in the business,” said Bates.

A branding campaign is underway to introduce the ATI name and new logo to Central Indiana. ATI’s newly redesigned logo features a distinctive mark and bold color scheme. The apex mark represents ATI’s pursuit of excellence. The vibrant red color conveys the enthusiasm and energy ATI clinicians and staff bring to their work every day.

ATI Physical Therapy has been honored as the “Best Physical Therapy Practice in the Nation” by ADVANCE Rehabilitation Magazine and was recently awarded Core Standards Accreditation by URAC, a Washington, DC-based health care accrediting organization that establishes quality standards for the health care industry.

Based in Bolingbrook, Illinois, ATI has distinguished itself in the industry by taking a proactive approach toward patient care and continually improving and expanding its services.  A few examples:

  • A Research Department, which is unique in the industry, dedicated to improving rehabilitation outcomes through basic science, transitional research, and evidence-based medicine;
  • Specialty clinics for healthcare needs unique to women (ATI Women’s Health);
  • On-site Athletic Training services for more than 140 universities, high schools, clubs, and professional athletic teams;
