The first time Joey realized he better be his own doctor was on his first job out of college as a medical research analyst. He realized how different our bodies are, and how most medicines treat the symptoms instead of the core problem.
Back then, he already knew that food can heal. He realized that as a young boy watching his father recovering from a heart attack. A few years after the heart attack his father was healthier than before he got sick. This was thanks to eating healthier and exercising. The main reason his father changed his life style, was when his doctor told him after the open heart surgery: “Well, see you in a few years, the effect of this surgery never last more than that.” His father is still healthy more than 30 years later. Joey researched healing food in order to make sure he will never have to through a surgery like his dad.
